HomeWerk, a new online platform that can help strengthen the bond between colleagues working from home has been launched. The platform brings them together through collaborative activities, discussions, and competitions.

The platform features integrated videos and text chats as well as automated calendar invites, email reminders, and easy problem solving via live chat.

Users can earn points, badges, and streaks for different actions taken within the platform and there are weekly, monthly and all-time leaderboards to see who is coming out on top.

Founder Dan Strang found the inspiration to build this company when Covid-19 struck, as it had a devastating impact on his event technology business. " HomeWerk’s mission is to help employees make friends while working from home. We are creating a social club for remote teams. Our online platform automatically schedules team building activities for employees; from quizzes to team video sessions to photo competitions."

Teams are given a varied suite of digital activities, covering a wide range of themes and interests to ensure no one is left out, and HomeWerk is also partnering with third parties to provide premium experiences which will also lead to more points for the leaderboard.

Each user has their own section where they can track their own progress – as well as that of their colleagues, and they will also undertake a ‘Who Said That?’ quiz, with their answers displayed to give a fresh talking point for anyone who wants to connect.

As an added bonus, HomeWerk will also record birthdays, work anniversaries, and other milestones, so members can leave messages for their colleagues and the platform will collate the content into a premium, shareable, moment.

HomeWerk is already been used by the likes of Facebook, O2, Sony Music, and John Lewis. Individuals can also use its free four-week trial version.
