Abeyie Global Future 2030: Agenda Upskill 10 Million Africans By 2030
Jan. 11, 2023, 12:04 p.m.
Abeyie Innovation Studios has been committed over the last 4 years to promoting sustainable development by leveraging Technology. In order to future-proof our societies, individuals and businesses must constantly evolve to harness the power of technology and digital in creating solutions.
The Abeyie Digital Academy was launched in 2022 by Joy Bonsu Schmutz( Co-founder and CEO) to up-skill 10 million Africans by 2030 (Abeyie Global Future 2030), especially the youth with a special focus on women. We believe digital skills are a barrier breaker and will empower Africans to compete on a global playground.
By 2030, young Africans are expected to constitute 42% of the global youth population, and so as Peter Drucker said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
We want to make sure Africa is ready to meet the current and future demands of economic growth, social, environmental and climate needs.

As a female-led organisation, our focus on women is strategic and as shared in a recent UN Women Report, “The digital gender divide is also fuelled by digital illiteracy, particularly in urban areas where in one study 45 percent of women said they didn't use the internet because they don't know how to, as compared to 36 percent of men. Digital Literacy is often a result of multiple factors including education, employment status and income level.”
As we work towards the realisation of Abeyie Global Future (AGF 2030), we are giving 50 individuals and 5 teams/organisations a head-start in their digital journey through the Abeyie Digital Academy for the month of February 2023.
