Call For Applications For The National Pre-Tech Training Program

Ghana Tech Lab in collaboration with Soronko Academy has opened applications for the Second Edition of the National Pre-Tech Program for women between the ages of 18-35 years.

Applications are open till the 23rd of February 2021 for the second edition and will be focused on equipping young females with competent digital media skills such as photography, graphic design, content development, to position them for big-shot opportunities.

Program Coordinator, Miss Baaba Simpson disclosed in an exclusive interview with www.digitaltimes.africa, that the program is targeted at introducing females to digital media courses in preparation for more advanced courses, give female startups boundless reach and use digital media to improve customer relationships and engagement.

She indicated that the program is being implemented across the country, in collaboration with a network of 15 community hubs as training partners.

She added that the first edition was a pilot phase last year to ascertain the interest of females for tech programs, as well as assist females who intended to engage in tech programs but encountered challenges.

Miss Simpson indicated that the impact assessment revealed that the majority of the female trainees utilized the skills learnt. She called on young women who qualify to take advantage of the opportunity to develop their potential.
