Chalewote Street Art Festival To Be Held In August

The 10th edition of the annual Chalewote Street Art Festival will come off from the 14th to the 23rd of August 2020 at Jamestown in Accra.

The theme for this year’s edition is “Counter State Mythology.”

In preparation for the festival, some artists have begun painting graffiti murals, on walls and pavements across the city of Accra.

The arts festival is produced by Accra dot ALT in collaboration with Foundation of Contemporary Art Ghana, REDD Kat Pictures, and Attukwei Foundation.

Chale Wote is usually marked with fashion parades, photography, sessions, food markets, street boxing, movie screenings, and many others.

The festival attracts over two thousand art lovers annually, attracting both local and international artists who showcase their works.
