Minister of Communications Pays Working Visit To Ghana Tech Lab

The Minister of Communications, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, paid a working visit to Ghana Tech Lab, an Information Communication Technology company on Wednesday.

The visit was for the Minister to get abreast with operations in the Tech Lab, which is under the e-Transform initiative of the Ministry of Communications Ghana.

The e-Transform Project is an initiative of the Ministry of Communications which is concerned with rural and underserved areas getting a nurturing in entrepreneurship skills that can lead to jobs.

The Minister expressed her pleasure when she noticed a balance in gender roles in the operations of the company.

The Minister interacted with participants of the company’s ongoing web development program.

She lauded the program and assured Ghana Tech Lab of the ministry’s support in the placement of participants in selected government organizations after completion of the training program.


The program forms part of the Ghana Tech Lab’s base program, a project under the Pathway to Sustainable Employment(PaSE).

The program trains individuals with competent skills in web development which can lead to entrepreneurship or employment.

Executive Directors of the Company, Jorge Appiah and Nelson Madiba Amoo and staff of the company accompanied the Minister during the visit to the respective spaces in the company.

She toured the robotics space, the maker space, creative space and other departments of the company.

The Minister was presented with 2000 face shields produced by the company and an engraved portrait of herself also produced by the Maker Space of Ghana Tech Lab.
