After working many years within the IT and consulting industry in the UK, one man became fixed on making real change happen for SMBs in Africa - having experienced first-hand the stagnated approach many startups and established businesses took to innovation, he became interested in the idea of making a difference through innovation and creative ideas.

With many African businesses struggling with DISCONNECTED systems and data, it became clear that businesses were not leveraging the power of the digital age. He wanted to make it easier for small and medium-sized businesses to operate, collaborate, communicate, and expand their reach virtually through connected systems, people, and customers.

After much thinking, he made it his life's mission to build the best SaaS, IT, and consulting firm to help African businesses connect the dot.

Wazzo Consulting is an African-based company helping SMBs with SaaS to stay ahead of the curve and embrace new technologies that can help them operate more efficiently and effectively.

Founded in 2019 by Abubakarr Sesay, Wazzo Consulting is an all-in-one SaaS technology platform that provides software solutions, information, and consultancy to help small and medium-sized businesses grow better.

The small business sector is a significant contributor to the GDP of many African countries. The only way we can harness its power and record the desired growth is by heavily involving this pay-as-you-go model that is becoming increasingly popular among small businesses due to its affordability and flexibility. Startups and small businesses will find SaaS handy when they don't have the time, capital, or expertise to build or host applications on-premises.

What's more, SaaS offers small and medium size businesses an opportunity to disrupt existing markets while taking advantage of fair SaaS pricing models. The model allows these businesses to run via an internet browser 24/7 from any device anywhere, and it needs no installation, equipment updates, or traditional licensing management. The model also allows businesses to quickly scale a solution to accommodate changing needs. Data is routinely saved in the cloud, and access to data reporting and intelligence tools is easy.

"Over my career, I have worked with some of the world's leading companies across multiple industries. I was proud to have gained tremendous experience working alongside the best in the industry. Our primary approach is to empower our customers, driving the company with an ownership attitude rather than an employee mentality (creating a team that wants to build a business, not just work for one), and many of the team have extensive backgrounds in running their successful businesses," Abubakarr told DT Africa.

Because problem-solving is Wazzo's craft, the SaaS consulting firm creates technology that works for everyone, making it easy for IT, customer service, sales, marketers, and HR to do their job and delight their customers. Its platform includes accounting and payroll, marketing, sales, project management services, and human resource management products that start free and scale to meet customers' needs at any growth stage.

"We aim to create a product that makes it fast and easy for African businesses to delight their customers and employees using the power of technology. We do this by taking an innovative approach to building and delivering software-as-a-service that's affordable, quick to implement, and designed for the end-user."

"Unlike legacy software which is the most common in Africa, Wazzo Consulting decided to build a technology system that works for everyone and tries to address the specific need for local software solutions to local problems at acceptable prices. On our website, you'll find a high-level description of each product, a list of features associated with each product package, and any limits that apply, the founder explained."

Companies all over the African region use Wazzo Consulting's all-in-one system to unite their teams, empower their business, and grow better. Wazzo claims more than 50 companies around the region currently use Wazzo Consulting. Although small- and medium-sized businesses are the major players who use this platform, large organizations thrive happily.

Commenting on the company's plans for the following years, Abubakarr stated, "Globally, businesses and individuals are switching from on-premise software or manual processes to SaaS and reaping the rewards of digitization and automation. These rewards include affordability, speed, scalability, extensibility, agility, and low risk."

"We know that many businesses in Africa are ready for SaaS adoption and the subsequent improvements in productivity and growth. However, despite all its advantages and the urgent need for automation in Africa, businesses still struggle to access affordable software solutions. We want to significantly improve the ability of cloud providers to offer better services in the region."

Wazzo Consulting is currently located in Freetown, Sierra Leone. However, they also operate in Accra, Ghana, with customers throughout the African region.
