Africa Makerspace Network To Host Event On Product Finishing And Packaging

As part of efforts to build the capacity of Makers across Africa, the Africa Makerspace Network (AMN) presents the AMN Practical Week Program.

The virtual event themed: ‘‘Product Finishing and Packaging’’ is meant to serve the purpose of improving the technical capacity of participating makers and makerspaces. During the event, makers will build their capacity on Stress Tests, Packaging, Colour theory, and Product finishing specifically smoothness and coating. The virtual event comes off on Friday 6th August 2021 and interested participants should click here to register.

The maiden event will attract makerspaces from Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya, Botswana, Ethiopia, Uganda, and beyond. The event is being held under the auspices of the Africa Makerspace Network, an organization that brings together makerspaces in Africa to facilitate capacity building and harmonization.

The organization has been in existence since 2019 with its head office situated in Ghana. By far, activities of the network have been supported by the Kumasi Hive, Ghana Techlab, Careables GIG, and Africa Open Science Hardware.
