AfriLabs Admits 15 New Members Across Africa

AfriLabs announced on Wednesday that it has admitted 15 new members to its growing network.

AfriLabs is a Pan-African hub innovation network with the aim of supporting African technology and innovation hubs with funding and capacity-building resources.

The induction of the new members has increased the total number of the organization’s member hubs to 240, currently operating in 48 African countries.

Additionally, AfriLabs stated in a press release that it has extended its reach to two new cities and a new country which is Guinea Bissau.

From West Africa, Women’s Haven Africa, TEN Ghana, North-East Humanitarian Innovation Hub, CeedCap Studio, Impact Hub Lagos, Developers in Vogue, Clintonel Innovation Centre (CIC), SeedBuilders Innovation Hub, Sensi Tech Innovation Hub and InnovaLab have joined AfriLabs.

From Central Africa, KMR Start- Up HUB is the latest hub to become a part of the AfriLabs community.

Finally, Villgro Africa, Aga Khan University Media Innovation Centre and 250STARTUPS from Eastern Africa and Tshimologong Precinct (University of Witwatersrand) from South Africa have been admitted to AfriLabs.

Kenneth Chukwu, the Member Services Coordinator for AfriLabs said that, “with the admission of these 15 hubs,AfriLabs has expanded into a new country and we promise to continue to support our members and other stakeholders in the African innovation ecosystem”.
