Applications Open For The U.S. – Africa Tech Challenge 2021
The U.S. – Africa Tech Challenge has announced that it has opened applications for technologists across Africa to participate in this year’s event.
The U.S. – Africa Tech Challenge is an initiative that seeks to showcase innovative tech solutions that combat propaganda and disinformation.
Out of the organizations who demo their technology, the top 3 will be crowned winners and receive funding worth $250,000.
Applicants will submit their solutions to an audience of civil society, government representatives, and private stakeholders.
The first part of the challenge will take place virtually in April 2021, where selected organizations will be given 25 minutes to present their solutions to a closed audience, followed by a question and answer session with a panel of judges.
The second part will be held at East Africa Com, a premier event for digital communication, and will provide participants the opportunity to network and form partnerships.
Submissions are open to only companies or organizations based in Africa. The application window closes on the 28th of February 2021.
