A smartwatch is a great device to introduce to kids when it comes to technology. These wearable devices track location, send chore reminders, and also provide games for children to play. Most especially during the COVID-19 lockdown restriction it tends to be a helpful device for families.

If you are battling with choosing smartwatches, here are three models to look out for; Verizon GizmoWatch 2, VTech kidizoom DX2 and Garmin Vivofit Jr 2. These devices are perfect for kids in my opinion and have excellent features which are very useful for everyday life.

The Verizon GizmoWatch 2 is harder to lose than a smartphone. The new GizmoWatch 2 is a child-tracking smartwatch specially designed for kids between age 3 to 11. It features GPS and LTE connectivity on Verizon’s network. This allows kids to make calls and text messages to approved contacts. It also allows parents to keep an eye on them in real time.

This second-generation model boasts of a larger screen than its predecessor. It has better battery life, and also cost effective in terms of pricing. It offers lots of tools parents will appreciate, due to the fact that it is designed to be kid-friendly with great features too.

The VTech kidizoom DX2, to start with, has comfortable features and is easy to use. It has large buttons, a touch screen, and it is brightly coloured. It has different backgrounds and 55 customizable watch faces to help kids learn to tell time.

The last device on my list is Garmin Vivofit Jr 2. The Garmin Vivofit Jr. 2 distinguishes itself from other fitness trackers. It does this by being specifically designed for kids and teenagers. This product's exterior is bedecked with images from kids’ favorite franchises. It ranges from Star Wars to The Avengers and is a great way to help instill healthy habits into children at a young age. This wearable device does a great job at tracking your fitness and has great features to display. It is relatively easy to use and is comfortable to wear as well, making it a great choice for the young — or young-at-heart. Especially those who want to monitor their health to be motivated to get up and be active.

The Garmin Vivofit Jr. 2 has an amazing battery life. It lasts longer than the vast majority of the other models. This fitness band can last for up to a year on a coin cell battery. It is also very easy to use.
