AIdoctor, an e-health platform based in Egypt, has recently expanded its services across the country.

The expansion is to facilitate the accessibility of quality healthcare.

The platform is a doctor in your pocket app that allows patients to access medical services from medical doctors, physicians, pharmacies as well as diagnostic and imaging centres conveniently.

Due to the global pandemic, AIdoctor has seen an increase in the patronage of its services. Thus, it has expanded to other parts of Egypt by launching a pilot in New Damietta City, before kicking off plans to expand further across the continent as well.

Wael Galel, Founder of AIdoctor, noted that the startup will seek funding from investors once the expansion has taken effect.

“Since we started, we have been keen to obtain maximum revenues with bootstrapping. We are now looking for a serious investor who believes in our project and is ready to invest ”

“We will do this once expansion has happened and we have validated our plans.” he stated.

The purpose of AIdoctor is to provide more accessible and effective healthcare to Egyptians while giving medical practitioners “a fair chance to practice and earn sufficient income”.

Launched in 2019, the app now has more than 40 medical service providers who are serving over 3,500 registered users.

Monetizing via a commission-based revenue, its revenue has also shot up by 350% compared to last year.
