Applications Are Now Open For The Africa Startup Initiative Programme (ASIP)
Nov. 26, 2021
Applications are now open for the second edition of the Africa Startup Initiative Programme (ASIP). The accelerator program seeks the next generation of African startups disrupting industry sectors, including agri-tech, fintech, IoT and connectivity, machine learning, cybersecurity, clean-tech and reg-tech.
The ASIP is an initiative of Startupbootcamp AfriTech and Telecel Group to support the next generation of early-stage African tech startups ready to build a sustainable, repeatable business model using lean methodology. The program also seeks startups ready to scale their impact through collaboration with the private and public sectors.
Startupbootcamp AfriTech was launched in 2017 as the first multi corporate-backed pan-African startup accelerator. The first Startupbootcamp AfriTech program accelerated 40 great African startups that have set an incredibly high bar for the next program. 88% are still operating and scaling at impressive rates, and 50% of them are self-sufficient based on the commercial contracts.
As such, ASIP will support young startups with innovative ideas that create a difference in their communities. Selected companies will receive US$18,000 in equity funding in addition to US$750,000 worth of credits, services, and in-kind value.
Applications are open here.
The three-month programme kicking off in April.
