Foundervine Launches In Ghana To Boost STEM Skills And They Are Hiring
Sep. 03, 2021
Foundervine wants to provide opportunities in underserved communities that help tomorrow’s leaders shape the future.
Foundervine specializes in digital start-up and scale-up acceleration programs to scale more diverse founder-led ventures. The company believes in the power of entrepreneurship to amplify unheard voices, create platforms that redistribute power, and confront the systems that for so long have worked for the few, not the many.
The company’s programs provide underserved founders with skills, capital, and the confidence that they can build the future of our economies.
In line with this, Foundervine has announced a partnership in Ghana to support Junior High School students (11–16) and teachers to develop practical STEM and enterprise skills over the next three years.
Globally, millions of people have been left behind by COVID-19, with an estimated 1.6 billion students impacted by the pandemic and 24 million children potentially never returning to school. Educational inequality was a global challenge well before COVID, but the pandemic has further widened the learning gap.
According to Foundervine, education is the cornerstone of sustainability. The company beliefs also that education can uplift young people and nations across Sub-Saharan Africa.
To realize success, Foundervine claims to have expanded opportunities for 20,000 young people across Ghana by developing STEM skills, improving educational outcomes, and providing opportunities for youth from underserved communities.
Additionally, Foundervine has created room for employability. The company is looking for an ambitious Program Manager in Ghana to drive its work forward and take it to the next stage in its international growth.
“We are seeking an established Program Manager who brings creativity, structure, and significant experience in setting up and delivering large-scale and complex projects.”
Adding on, Program Lead, Amanda Hilaire stated “I am excited for the impact that Foundervine can make in Ghana. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) are important to the future of Ghana and our work will be a great opportunity to help thousands of young people develop practical skills and also network with like-minded individuals.”
