Opportunity Arises For Foodtech And Agritech Startups

Our current food system is at the heart of many of today's biggest challenges: the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, deforestation, global hunger, and many others. It's clear that we urgently need to accelerate wide-ranging changes in how we produce, process, package, transport, consume and dispose of our food.
As such, a world-class accelerator programme driving transformative change in our global agrifood system is accepting applications for the 2022 agrifoodtech accelerator program.
Behind the agrifoodtech accelerator program is GROW, a Southeast Asia accelerator backed by AgFunder. They are driving this transformation by supercharging the growth of emerging foodtech and agritech startups tackling the world’s biggest sustainability challenges.
Selected startups will join a prestigious network of experts and investors to take their businesses to the next level of growth. The accelerator program will expose these startups to new markets and allow international startups to expand into Asia and for regional startups to launch on the global stage.
Companies receive $200K worth of cash and in-kind investment, including a bespoke accelerator programme that refines their business model for aggressive growth and plugs them into the AgFunder agrifoodtech ecosystem for expansion internationally.
Eligibility criteria
- The program is open to FoodTech and AgriTech startups globally
- Startups should focus on one of the following areas of interest:
- Novel foods and ingredients
- Advancing smallholder farmers
- Supply chain rationalisation
- Climate-smart food production
- Food waste valorisation
- Circular economy
- Personalised nutrition and health
