Ghana Communication Technology University Ranked 9th Best University In Ghana By Africa Webometrics Rankings

Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) has been ranked among the top ten best tertiary education institutions in Ghana by Africa Webometrics Rankings.
GCTU beat off other top Universities in Ghana to place 9th best University out of the 89 universities ranked.
The ranking is based on Excellence Rankings by ‘The Ranking Web of Universities Webometrics (https://www.webometrics.info/en/africa/ghana)
In a statement, the Vice-chancellor of the school Prof Emmanuel Ohone-Afoakwa expressed their gratitude and promised the school will do more to come out high in the next ranking.
“We are excited to announce that Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) is now officially ranked as the 9th best University in Ghana out of a total of 89 Universities across the nation”.

GCTU was established in November 2005, but was granted accreditation by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) on March 30, 2006, and was officially inaugurated on August 15, 2006, before gaining full public university status on 13 August 2020.
GCTU offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in, among others, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, – Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Oil and Gas.
Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is a ranking system for the world’s Universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the web content and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external in-links they received.
