35 startups are poised to pitch their business ideas at the Ghana Startup Summit, a flagship program of Ghana Tech Lab. The Ghana Startup culminates in the National Incubation and National Acceleration Program. It acts as the platform to celebrate startups produced from both tracks of the Pathways to Sustainable Employment (PaSE) programme and amplify the startup culture in Ghana.
Further, it provides an opportunity for the startups born from the National Incubation and National Acceleration Program to pitch their business ideas to an audience composed of successful entrepreneurs, affluent business executives, seasoned industry experts, government officials, investors and the general public.
Before the summit, the startups participated in GTL's Base Innovation Program, which focused on mobile applications with Flutter and GTL's Acceleration Track. The Base Innovation Program ran for six (6) weeks, followed by ten (10) weeks of incubation and internship. However, the National Acceleration Program focused on startups that have been in existence for 1-3 years to nurture startups towards investor readiness and scalability. The National Acceleration Program run for six months.
Against this, Ghana Tech Lab has collaborated with relevant ecosystem partners and sponsors to host the annual Ghana Startup Summit to climax the Base Innovation Program and to exhibit the startups that have emanated from the Incubation (Base Innovation Program) and Acceleration track (National Acceleration Program),
On April 7th and 8th, the startups will gather under the umbrella of "Driving Digital Entrepreneurship to Accelerate Youth Employment" for The 5th edition of the Ghana Startup Summit.
