Ghana Tech Lab-Partners Host The Maiden Edition of Accra Digital Jobs Fair 2020
Ghana Tech Lab in partnership with Developers in Vogue, iSpace Foundation, Accra Digital Centre hosted the maiden edition of the Accra Digital Jobs Fair on Thursday.
The program was on the theme, “Creating Sustainable Employment Through Digital Skills”.
The Accra Digital Jobs Fair was organized to give digital businesses and tech startups the platform to showcase their products and services and also to create a platform for unemployed youth to have access to direct recruitment from organisations in the digital space.
The fair brought together industry professionals, employers, job seekers, resource persons and other tech enthusiasts to interact, build business connections and exchange ideas.
Speaking at the fair, Mr. Sujith Jayaprakash, the Director of NIIT Ghana, called on the youth to upgrade their skills by being innovative and acquiring digital skills in order to get and maintain their jobs in the technological age.
“The only way to literally get a job in the digital age is to improve your skill in the building part rather than the doing part. Try to move your skillset or knowledge level to mold into the creative part. For that it involves knowledge that comes with more and more training,” he said.
