International Women’s Day 2023: Solar Taxi Joins Celebration

As we celebrate International Women's Day, Solartaxi Limited is proud to recognize the immense contributions of our female employees and all women around the globe. Having our staff strength of over 80% being women, we understand the importance of supporting and empowering women in the workplace and beyond.

“Embrace Equity”, as this year’s theme goes; Solar Taxi fully supports this theme and we are committed to creating an environment where women are valued and respected. We deem it a call of action to everyone to challenge gender bias and inequality, both in their personal lives and in the wider world. Solartaxi Limited takes this message to heart, and we encourage all our employees to take the lead in challenging gender stereotypes and advocating for gender equality in their workplaces and communities.

To mark the occasion, we put the spotlight on Abigail Twenewaa, who is the head of Maintenance Engineers at Solartaxi. Abigail’s career journey started with engineering in 2019 and over that period, she’s climbed the ladder from being a transport associate to being the team lead for the bikes business team and a member of the senior management as the head of maintenance engineers. Abigail’s story is one among the many stories of women; who are empowered to do more in their careers here at Solar Taxi through constant Training and Development programs.
