
Maadepam, Emerges Winner Of The Ghana Startup Summit
Maadepam, has emerged winner of the Ghana Startup Summit which was held in Accra, Ghana by Ghana Tech Lab.
The event was held under the auspices of Mastercard Foundation and partner hubs across the country.
The Ghana Startup Summit brought together 17 startups from across the partner hubs, who partook in the ‘‘ Web Development Programme’’ which was held early this year.
Selected startups were incubated to enable them develop their products with the aid of business development coaches, professional developers and other stakeholders. The startups went through a period of 5 months from start to finish.
The keenly contested pitch summit had startups such as Yensoft, LiveOn, Trashsmart, Farm Wheel, Maadepam, Errand Genie Job4me, Umram Developers, Mochare, Medlyf, ReD Health, Xtra Cash, Daclyns Design, Coastal Fish, Canfagro, MedApp and Afrik Fashion engaging in the pitch.
Madeepam, a startup focused on digitizing the entire bespoke tailoring process emerged winners of the pitch summit.
For their prize the startup took away, a slot in post-incubation program, access to working space and internet service, access to business development support, access to mentorship through GTL Mentorship Network, as well as media and branding support worth 10,000. They will also have access to other opportunities offered by GTL partners through referrals and placements such as Absa, Kiva, Invest in Africa, MEST and a cash prize of 5,000.
Coastal Fish, a logistic startup that seeks to provide efficient and quality access to fish for households in and around the Central Region, took second place.
For their prize, they get a slot in post-incubation program, access to working space and internet service, access to business development support, access to mentorship through GTL Mentorship Network, media and branding support worth 10,000.
They get access to other opportunities offered by GTL partners through referrals and placement with Absa, Kiva,Invest in Africa, MEST and a cash prize of 3,000.
Daclyns Design placed third in the pitch summit. Third prize entailed a slot in post incubation program, access to working space and internet service, access to business development support, access to mentorship through GTL Mentorship Network media and branding support worth 10,000. The prize includes access to other opportunities offered by GTL partners through referrals and placements such as Absa, Kiva,Invest in Africa, MEST and a cash prize of 2,000.
