Need A Job? Check Out Tiktok’s Resumes Corner
July 10, 2021, 1:01 p.m.
Tiktok has rolled out a job application tool that will allow users to directly apply to companies through video resumes. The application process will end on 31st July.
Users will have to create a video resume, post it to TikTok, and then send that video to recruiters through the app. An instructional video for the pilot program recommends applicants do not include personal contact information like their email address in the publicly shared video.
The program can be found on tiktokresumes.com where users are required to attach a link to their Tiktok videos as well as an optional requirement for their LinkedIn profile.

The application tool is currently in its testing phase but has onboarded several companies including Target, Abercrombie and Fitch, Zenith, Fuse, Meredith, and Shopify with more companies expected to join soon. If you are extremely strong, you can also apply to be a WWE superstar.
The short-term pilot program, called TikTok Resumes, stems from contents that have organically popped up on the platform, like #CareerTok, and the company’s deliberate initiatives to influence college students and younger users.
“We can’t wait to see how the community embraces TikTok resumes and helps to reimagine recruiting and job discovery,” said Nick Tran, Global Head of Marketing for TikTok.
The program is currently available for users in the US but the company plans to expand into other markets in a few months.
