Telegram has rolled out new features on its platform as part of its services to give users a friendly experience.

Among the features is the ability to migrate messages and documents from WhatsApp and other apps to Telegram, improved voice chats and audio, greeting stickers, and new android animations.

This comes right after over 100 million users joined Telegram over privacy concerns with regards to WhatsApp, its rival.

To migrate the chat history from WhatsApp to Telegram, users will first have to open up the former and navigate to a chat that you wish to migrate. Then will have to open up the “More” menu in the chat and select the “Export Chat” option. WhatsApp will then create a backup of the entire conversation in the form of a ZIP file

The added advantage of this feature is that the messages and media you move to the app do not need to occupy extra space. Telegram takes up no space while allowing you access to your media.

Additionally, Telegram users can delete messages they send and receive for both parties without a trace.

With this update, you get more control over secret chats, groups you created, and call history as Telegram does not store data of your history.

Telegram users can see which groups have active Voice Chats from the top of the Call History page.

While in a voice chat users can adjust the volume of individual participants to manage microphone levels. Adjustments made by group admins are applied to all listeners.

When a track is playing, tap the author name in the player to see their tracks from all your chats. If you need to skip ahead or repeat something you missed, press and hold on the Next and Previous buttons to fast-forward and rewind.

A fade effect has been added to please listeners when they pause and resume the music.

For users having contacts who joined Telegram recently, welcoming them with the greeting stickers may be a nice touch.

Telegram says new updates will be coming soon here.
