Young African Girls Can Apply For GirlEng Technovation Camp 2021

GirlEng is calling on all young African females aspiring to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, females ready to learn how to code and gain access to engineering role models to apply for GirlEng Technovation Camp 2021.

GirlEng Technovation Camp is organized to foster young girls interested in pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The program is on the lookout for 60 high potential Grade 9- 11 high school girls to take part in a 4-day active learning workshop that aims to get girls to start thinking & acting like engineers.

In compliance with COVID-19 regulations, the camp will run in two phases each comprising of 30 girls each running in June-July 2020.

To be eligible for the workshop, the female must:

Be a Grade 9 – 11 high school girl, currently studying mathematics (compulsory) and science (recommended).

Show a high interest in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) career.

Must be residing in Johannesburg or surrounding areas.

Available for all four days of the workshop
